JOURNEY BEGIN

POPI (People's Oriented Program Implementation) was established and started development activities in the year 1986 at Jamalpur village of Bhairab Upazila
under Kishoregonj district with a vision to establish peaceful society where people enjoy dignified life.

Over last two decades, POPI has diversified its activities to address development and welfare needs of poor, ultra poor and ethnic minority families living at different and backward areas in rural and urban Bangladesh. POPI is now as a national agency operates in more than 104 upazilas under 16 districts in 04 divisions.

VISION: A prudent nation free from hunger and poverty where every citizen led a life with dignity and equity.

JOURNEY CONTINUE

In order to foster and strengthen human potentials, POPI has been emphasizing on education programme. Eventually,education has been identified as a priority sector in Bangladesh by both government and non government organization, not only to eradicate the illiteracy but also for human resource development. Accordingly, CEP has been implementing education programme in innovative ways.

Children Education Programme (CEP) of POPI established in Bhairab in 1998 with the support from terre des hommes-Netherlands (TDH-NL). Now it is ongoing 6th phase.CEP Project is now working in 10 unions in Bhairab and Kuliarchar upazilla under Kishoregonj district.

GOAL: To ensure the access in Education and to improve the quality of primary education within the project area.
